Our Trip to Mount Kilimanjaro is About to Begin!

The Glorioski African Expedition departs from Chicago on Monday, July 14, 2008. We'll fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport and have a day on the ground before we head out the Machame gate. We'll clear the canopy just as the full moon peaks. We're trekking just after the rainy season so daytime visibility should also be great. With all the new vegetation present, we're going to get more great views of indigenous plants and the animals. After an acclimatization day, we'll head out for the summit in the early hours of July 24th ~ summitting at sunrise that morning. After a couple of hours atop Africa's highest point, we'll spend the rest of the day heading down the Coca-Cola route for a well deserved beverage and meal.
